Dice the white onion, bell pepper, and mince garlic. To save time, add them to a food processor and pulse lightly. Rinse and drain a can of black beans, then mash well with a fork or add to a food processor and pulse very lightly, ensuring you still see whole beans. Add all contents (onion, bell pepper, garlic, mashed beans) to a bowl and mix in the breadcrumbs, cumin, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into 4-5 patties, about 1/3 cup each, and refrigerate for at least 15-20 minutes. Add oil to a skillet over low-medium heat, then add the patties and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. Serve on a bun with your favorite burger additions. For the special sauce, combine 3 tablespoons vegan mayo, 2 teaspoons ketchup, 1 teaspoon mustard, 1 teaspoon relish, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, and salt.
