Celebrating the end of the week with these TOFU NUGGETS ✨ I love making healthier swaps for some of my favorite foods and wanted to make a vegan version of nuggets! This is SO easy! It takes less than 30 minutes 🙌🏻 For these, you make a quick liquid batter and a seasoned panko mix for the crust. I made them extra crispy in my air fryer but you can bake them in the oven or pan fry them! Happy Friday y’all! 🤪💃🏼

Drain the tofu, wrap in paper towels, and add something heavy on top to press the liquid out (use a skillet and leave it for 20-30 minutes). Meanwhile, in a large bowl, add the panko crumbs and half the amount of each seasoning (1/2 tsp garlic, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp salt) and mix. In a separate bowl, add the flour, remaining spices, and mix. Then add the milk slowly, creating a batter which should be like a loose pancake batter consistency. Cut the tofu into cubes and dip into the batter, then into the panko mixture. Spray with cooking oil. Air fry at 400°F for 15 minutes, flipping halfway. The same time and temperature can be used for a standard oven. Serve with ketchup.
