Mini Apple Hand Pies
Serves 825 mins prep30 mins cook
Make these MINI APPLE HAND PIES for the easiest Thanksgiving dessert! If you can’t be bothered to make a whole pie these are perfect to make instead. They’re so easy to make especially because I used store bought pie dough. Plus there’s nothing like apple pie with vanilla ice cream so don’t forget that too!

What you need

pie dough

cup vanilla ice cream

tsp vanilla extract

cup brown sugar

tbsp milk

tsp plain flour

tsp cinnamon
egg

cup honey crisp apples
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Dice apples into uniform small pieces. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter, then add the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla and stir, cook for 5 minutes or until soft. Add the flour and mix to thicken the mixture. Roll out the pie dough and cut about 18-20 circles, you can use a glass like I did if you don’t have a cookie cutter! Add half the circles to a lined baking sheet and fill the middle with the apple mixture. Seal each with a fork around the edges and create some slits on the top to let steam escape. Whisk the egg and cream together and brush on top of each along with coarse brown sugar or cinnamon sugar. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!View original recipe
