Gemelli + Sausage Pasta

This GEMELLI + SAUSAGE PASTA is one of my absolute favorite pasta dishes 🍝 This is so beyond easy to make & only requires 6 main ingredients yet tastes straight out of a restaurant. This makes a solid 4 servings so it’s perfect to share with friends

What you need

cup grape tomato

vegetable oil

cup shell pasta

parmesan cheese

white onion

cup spinach

salt

oz pasta sauce
Instructions
- bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the gemelli pasta for 10-12 minutes - meanwhile, cut the ends of the onion off, then cut it in half lengthwise and then in slices - add slices of onion to a pan over low-medium heat with olive oil and sauté for 3-5 minutes until translucent - remove the casing from the sausage with a knife, add the meat to the skillet, break it up into crumbles and cook until browned - add spinach and tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes, then pierce the tomatoes with a fork and carefully crush with the back of the fork - reserve some pasta water before draining the pasta and add the pasta to the pan along with 1/2 the can of tomato sauce and some pasta water until desired amount of liquid - season with salt and top with parmesanView original recipe
