My take on the viral TIKTOK SALMON BOWL

A homemade version of the viral TikTok salmon bowl, putting a spin on @emilymariko’s deconstructed sushi bowl using fresh ingredients rather than leftovers. This recipe uses coconut aminos and vegan avocado oil mayo for a delicious twist.

What you need

kimchi
tsp salt

fl oz olive oil

pepper
oz sesame seed

bunch scallion

tsp sriracha hot sauce

seaweed

tbsp soy sauce

cup water

avocado
tsp mayo

cup rice
oz salmon fillet
Instructions
1. Rinse 1 cup of rice and add to a pot with 2 cups of water and salt. Bring to a boil, then cover with a lid and bring down to a simmer for 15-20 minutes. 2. Preheat oven to 400°F. 3. Add a fresh piece of salmon to a baking sheet lined with olive oil. Add additional olive oil to the salmon and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. 4. Bake the salmon for 15-18 minutes. 5. In a bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of cooked rice and the baked salmon. Add coconut aminos (or soy sauce), mayo, and sriracha, then mash with a fork. 6. To the side of the salmon and rice mixture, add 1/2 of an avocado sliced, along with kimchi, sesame seeds, scallions, and seaweed snacks. 7. To enjoy, grab a piece of avocado and the salmon rice mixture with the seaweed snacks.View original recipe
